Army Reserve Career Counselors receive their Welcome Home Warrior Awards

The first award presented today by the Army Reserve Careers Division was Welcome Home Warrior Citizen Awards presented to the exceptional Soldiers stepped forward last year and volunteered for deployment, serving honorably in the Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan Theater of operations.

Team 9 members are Master Sgt. Cheryl Brady, Sergeants 1st Class Sabrina Derhammer, Jamie Rogers, Jorge Vega, Johnnie Wade, Terri Williams, Jacqueline Zent, William Jackson and Kelly Bornhoeft.

Teams 8 were also reconized and consisted of Sergeants 1st Class Charles Parker, Mario Lopez, Roberto Manzanares, Delgrita Hollingsworth, Douglas A. Tritt, and William G. Warren.

At any one time, ARCD has 13 Soldiers deployed in theater, these Soldiers account for over 12% of our annual re-enlistment mission, with each one writing an average of 102 re-enlistment contracts per year.

Each Soldier receives a Warrior Citizen Flag, a lapel pin set, a Global War on Terrorism commemorative coin, and an encased U.S. flag, which also has an engraved plate that reads: “In appreciation for your faithful military service. Your selfless sacrifices and excellent performance of duty are reflective of the Army’s Warrior Ethos. Your Patriotic service as a true “Warrior Citizen” will never be forgotten. Signed LTG. Jack C.
