The last living U.S. World War I Veteran, Frank Buckles died yesterday, February 27, 2011 at the age of 110. Mr. Buckles originally tried to reenlist into the Marines and Navy before making up an entry into a family Bible so that he could enlist in the Army at the age of 16.
Frank Buckles will lie in state at the US capitol rotunda and will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
