We Do Not Remember Days; We Remember Moments.
~Cesare Pavese, the Burning Brand
Today in America, many of us are remembering the moments of 9/11. Watching the plane crash, the Twin tower crumble and the lost of loved ones. Some fearing for their lives, other rushing to help, eyes fixed on the news report, crying, praying…
September the 11th has been marked as a Day of Service and Remembers, an act made official by Congress in 2009 and signed into law by President Obama.
Today we remember the lives that were lost and pray for those they left behind. I remember the moment that America united as one. Today, let us continue to unite and honor the memory of those lost by turning our grief outward and give back to your community, serve someone in need or provide a random act of kindness.
We are one American family. And we look out for each other – not just on the difficult days, but every day.” President Obama
