Standards are something set up and established by authority as a rule for the measure of quantity, weight, extent, value, or quality.
Soldier’s height and weight are completed. Army standards require a Soldier maintain to a certain weight based on age, gender and height. Because muscle weighs more than fat, Soldiers not meeting the basic guidelines are then “Taped” to ensure the meet the body fat ratio.
The photo on the left shows a support staff neck being taped. However, if a Soldier needs to be “Taped”, it is done in their physical fitness uniform and done three times to ensure accuracy.
