Soldiers competing in the 2012 Secretary of the Army, Army Reserve Career Counselor of the Year Competition stretch out before starting the Army Physical Fitness Test.

I know you have already checked this site wondering, what the competitors are doing today and when they are going to post something.

First formation was at 0530 to head out to Hardaway Track and Field Complex to take the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT), which normally consists of push-up, sit-ups and a two-mile run.  Sometimes a person has a medical profile and the run is switched out to a 2 1/2 mile walk.

Oh, the competitors were also surprised right before the APFT with a “Timed Pop Quiz.”

From there it was back to the hotel to shower and change and if you had enough time maybe breakfast before we headed out to the Land Navigation site or Land Nav for short. But if you didn’t, it’s not a problem.  Doing the in brief, MRE’s, or Meals Ready to Eat, were provided to get you through the day.
