It takes dedication, hard work and the combined effort of every member of the Army Reserve Careers Division (ARCD) to meet it mission. Reenlisting Army Reserve Soldiers, transferring Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) Soldiers in Troop Program Units (TPU), process Active Guard Reserve (AGR) accession applications compelling Soldiers that they can achieve more and engaging them to become Warrant Officer and Officers. However, there are always a few push to do more.
On January 23, the ARCD held its Fiscal Year 2013 Awards Banquet in Atlanta, Georgia with Army Reserve Ambassador for Georgia, retired Maj. General William H, Johnson the guest speaker for the evening.
ARCD’s Commander and Command Sgt. Major, Colonel Thomas Bartow and Command Sgt. Major Patrick McKie presented awards to the Command’s Top Producers; Staff Sgt. Alesha Rose, 5th Battalion, for Troop Program Unit (TPU) Army Reserve Career Counselor (ARCC); Sgt. 1st Class Regina Clay, 4th Battalion for the Special Missions; Staff Sgt. Tina Cannon, 3rd Battalion Reenlistments and Sgt. 1st Class Kristopher Moller, 2nd Battalion for IRR to SELRES transfer.
Each battalion achieving 100 % and above of their assigned mission received awards with 3rd Battalion as the Runner-up Top Battalion and 6th Battalion’s Lt. Col. Buck, Sgt. Major Diane Ward and Sgt. Maj. Debra Hill, taking home the trophy as the Command’s Top Battalion.
Other awards presented during the dinner included Sgt. 1st Class Rick Silva, 11th Battalion for winner of the Secretary of the Army, Army Reserve Career Counselor of the Year, ARCD’s Best Warrior Competition Winner and Runner-up for the Army Reserve’s Best Warrior Competition.
Awarded for Secretary of the Army, ARCC of the Year Runner-up Sgt. 1st Class Erin Miller, assigned to 3rd Battalion and Sgt. 1st Class Kyle Vanderlaan, with 10th Battalion, for the ARCD Best Warrior Competition Runner-Up.
