I enlisted into the United States Military 13 November 2003 as a 12N10, Heavy Equipment Operator. I Specializing in heavy equipment to include the front end loader, hydraulic excavator, back hoe and grader to complete missions such as the creation and repair of roads, create and redirect drainage, installation of culverts, clear roads, fields and paths, haul materials, building berms for ammunition supply points and ranges and am assigned to 996th Engineer Company in Milwaukee, WI.
As a Warrior-Citizen, in both since of the word, in my civilian position I serve as a Unit Administrator for the 996 Engineer Company. I use my civilian knowledge to help me assist my soldiers and the soldiers in my unit where I represent the Commanders’ best wishes in their absences and make command decisions regarding the unit and its soldiers. I also perform duties as the payroll administrator, pay inquires; take care of all medical to include profiles and unit/soldier readiness; all Troop Program Unit transfers, Conditional Releases, transfer to the IRR, soldiers who have completed their contract; administration of personnel files, medical and dental files; and other general office duties.
I deployed to Afghanistan where I over saw soldiers and local nationals on project sights. I also specialized in runway maintenance, FOB drainage and the construction and installation of culverts. Although my primary MOS was a heavy construction operator, I also felt a need to assist more. I took an EMT class while deployed and assisted in the hospital. This was a huge accomplishment for me. Balancing my primary duties with class and studying was difficult, but the dedication I maintained paid off when the soldiers and civilians reflected the unspeakable look of gratitude in their eyes.

I was born in Fond du Lac, WI and graduated from Horace Mann High School. I later attended Central Texas College to be a certified EMT, also the American Intercontinental University for business.
I enjoy being outdoors and going to the gym where I am currently training for a triathlon.
