Sgt. David T. Palczewski

Quality of Life & Family Readiness Conference and National Capitol Reenlistment Ceremony

I enlisted in the United States Military as a 42F, Human Resources Information Systems Management Specialist, 27 October 2003. Patriotism and adventure were the reasons behind my enlistment decision.  Currently assigned to 3/304 USMA (United States Military Academy) Charlie Company in Calais, ME as an Instructor for West Point.  My instructing focus is primarily basic Soldier skills.

My military medals include: AAM-4 ARCOM-2 Afghan Campaign Medal, Army God Conduct Medal, Global War on Terrorism, Non-commissioned officer development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Ribbon w/ M Device-2.

I was deployed to Afghanistan 11 April 2005 through 04 April 2006 with a Postal Unit.  It was my responsibility to ensure mail arrived to all locations within the theater of operations.  This included loading and unloading incoming and outgoing mail, and traveling to Forward Operating Bases for mail support.

I was also mobilized to Fort Dix, NJ from 2006-2008 as a drivers instructor.

I was born and raised in Lanoka Harbor, NJ, where I graduated from Lacey Township High School on 15 June 2003. I also attended Columbia Southern University, graduating with an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice, December of 2010.

I work for the United States Border Patrol in Maine, which basically involves watching for anyone crossing illegally and taking action. This jobs relates very closely to the tasks and skills I use in the Army in the areas of weapons, equipment, and skills.  All of this combined assists with training and skills required in the Army.

My hobbies include: reading books, playing video games, and watching movies.
