Army Reserve Career Counselor of the Year
Sergeant First Class Christopher T. Gale currently serves as an Army Reserve Career Counselor. On May 26, 2009, Sergeant First Class Gale entered the Active Guard and Reserve Program as a Career Counselor. His duties include transitioning Soldiers from the Individual Ready Reserve to Troop Program Units, accessing Warrant Officer and Officer Candidates, assisting units with Retention and Strength Programs, and unit mobilization and demobilization.
He entered the Career Counselor field in July 2008, becoming a Battle Assembly Soldier for the 88th RRC, Area 1 Leader, in Arden Hills, MN. Today, Sergeant First Class Gale is assigned as an Army Reserve Career Counselor with the 8th Battalion, Army Reserve Careers Division, Area 2, with Duty in Buffalo, MN.
He entered the Army in March 2002 and served as a Psychological Operations (PSYOP) Specialist attached to the 13th PSYOP Battalion, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant. In 2003, he mobilized in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom with his company of assignment and to the 800th Military Police Brigade. In 2006 Sergeant First Class Gale mobilized in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with the 2nd PSYOP Group and served as Noncommissioned Officer in Charge of the PSYOP Military Information Support Team with Joint Task Force Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Joint Intelligence Group. Prior to assignment as an ARCC in July 2008, he served as the Noncommissioned Officer in Charge of a Tactical PSYOP Detachment with the 13th PSYOP Battalion, Arden Hills, Minnesota.
