Sgt. 1st Class J. Brant Kirk is an Active Guard Reserve Anny Reserve Career Counselor for 13th Battalion, the Army Reserve Careers Division.
Sgt. 1st Class Kirk entered the Army in September 1996. He assessed into the Reserves as a Military Police and assigned to the 366th Military Police Company located in Stillwater. OK. After serving three years and obtaining the Rank of Sgt., he joined the Simultaneous Membership Program for ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Course). In January 2003, he received Mobilization orders for Involuntary Cross Leveling to the 302ndMilitary Police Company in Grand Prairie TX. His deployment to Kuwait and Iraq included Enduring Freedom Iraqi Freedom Operations. SFC Kirk served four months as a Military Police Team Leader in Kuwait and Iraq before returning to CONUS for shoulder surgery. Upon recovering from his shoulder injury, SFC Kirk applied for AGR as an Army Reserve Career Counselor in which he now holds.
Commanders and Command Sergeants Majors have repeatedly cited Sgt. 1st Class Kirk for his continued outstanding performances with additional presentations of various Commanders and Command
Sergeants Major’s Coins of Excellence as well as the Fort Sill Post Commanding General and
CSM coins of excellence for competing in and winning the 2009 Military Nationals Rugby Club Championship.
Sgt. 1st Class Kirk has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration-Marketing with Minors in Business Management and Military Science at Oklahoma State University and is married.
He is also a member of the American Business Club Society (AMBUCS), which is a not for profit organization that raises money for disabled children and adults.
