In 2007, she was transferred from the IRR into a 79V position supporting a large battalion unit along with six other units. Today, she is assigned as Retention and Transition NCO with 9th Battalion, Army Reserve Careers Division, St. Peters, Missouri.
She entered the Regular Army in March 2002. Assigned to the 743rd Military Intelligence Battalion in Aurora, Colorado, she worked as Training Noncommissioned Officer at the ranks of Private First Class and Specialist then as an Intelligence Analyst. During this time, she held the position of Vice President for the Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers program and regularly volunteered for unit fundraising. Staff Sergeant Jackson also worked as an Intelligence Collections Analyst and Section Sergeant with the 1st Military Intelligence Battalion in Wiesbaden, Germany where she simultaneously served as Liaison for the Battalion Family Readiness Group.
In addition to her responsibilities as a full-time student and Army Reserve Soldier, Staff Sgt. Jackson is President of Washburn University German Club and an Independent Consultant with the cosmetics company of MaryKay Inc. She recently completed two years of service with a military stress trauma program assisting wounded veterans in relearning social skills, and continues to volunteer helping veterans and their families whenever possible.
