Region 6 Career Counselor of the Year
Sgt. 1st Class Kelli M. Harr is an Army Reserve Career Counselor in Rome and Dobbins ARB, Georgia. Prior to her assignment in Georgia, she was mobilized to Kuwait and lraq as a Career Counselor with 3RD US Army out of Ft. McPherson.
She entered the Army in March 2000. Prior to assignment as an ARCC in May 2005, she served as the Unit Administrator with the 98’h Division (IT) Drill Sergeant School, Mattydale, New York. SFC Harr also held the assignment of Administrative NCOIC with the 1215th GSU, Fort Drum, New York and the 602nd Aviation Support Battalion, Camp Stanley, Korea. She was also assigned as a Communication Specialist with the 204th Forward Support Battalion, Fort Hood, Texas.
Sgt. 1st Class Harr has completed the Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Retention and Transition Noncommissioned Officer Course, Equal Opportunity Representative Course, Unit Prevention Leader Course, and Duty Appointed Noncommissioned Officer Course.
Her awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal with 2 oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal with 2 oak leaf clusters, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon with numeral 2, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon with numeral 2, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, and Career Counselor Badge.
Sgt. 1st Class Harr was selected to serve as the official blogger for the National Capitol Reenlistment Ceremony in April of this year. She has completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Empire State College and is in her first semester of the Masters in Professional Writing Degree program at Kennesaw State University. In addition to her duties as an ARCC, SFC Harr coaches tumbling and cheerleading at the Boys & Girls Club in Rome, GA and created Liberty Cheer Camp, a non-profit camp for lower-income families.
