Staff Sgt. Dowdy and wife Tamika, arrived today in Washington, D.C.for the National Capitol Re-enlistment Ceremony and the Quality of Life Family Readiness Conference.

Staff Sgt. Dowdy stated that he is excited about being in Washington, D. C. with his wife. He says that he “loves Soldiering” and that he would encourage any of his Soldiers to stay in the Army Reserve.

While in Washington, D.C., Mrs. Dowdy will participate in the Quality of Life Family Readiness Conference. During this conference she will have the opportunity to learn about the diverse pool of resources available to our Soldier’s and their families. Mrs. Dowdy will also have the opportunity to attend the National Capitol Reenlistment Ceremony and observe her husband, Staff Sgt. Dowdy, re-enlist to continue his proud service with the Army Reserve.
