Sgt. 1st Class Donna L Schwan, born in Duluth, Minnesota, enlisted into the U.S. Army Reserves on 24 April 1978. She attended Basic Training at Fort McClellan, Alabama and received her Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas where she received the MOS of 91P/68P (X-ray Specialist).
Her previous assignments include: 828th Station Hospital, Fresno, California, 347th General Hospital, Sunnyvale, California, 6252nd Section II USAR Hospital, San Bernardino, Fort Ord, Monterey, California (in support of Operation Deseret Shield/Storm) California, 7214th Installation Medical Support Unit, Garden Grove, California, 63rd RRC, Los Alamitos, California and Army Reserve Careers Division, Garden Grove, California.
Sgt. 1st Class Schwan has held the following positions: Acting 1st Sgt. rear detachment, Non Commissioned Officer In Charge Diagnostic Radiology Department and Senior X-ray Specialist for the Physical Exam Team.
Sgt. 1st Class Schwan has attended numerous Army Schools to include: Sexual Harassment/Assault Response Program, Unit Prevention Leader, Battle Staff, Phase I, Military Army Combative Programs: Phase I where she was voted Distinguished Honor Graduate, Advance Noncommissioned Officer’s Course, Army Reserve Career Counselor Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer’s Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, X-Ray Specialist Course and Medical Specialist Course. Sgt. 1st Class Schwan completed her Masters of Arts Degree in 2006 with an over GPA of 3.93.

Sgt. 1st Class Schwan’s’ short term goals are to become a member of the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club and enroll in a local martial arts program.
Sgt. 1st Class Schwan’s’ long term goals are to complete the Administrative Credentialing process and go on long term missionary assignments.
Sgt. 1st Class Schwan is currently stationed at Army Reserve Careers Division, 11th Battalion, Area 5 located at Los Alamitos, California.
